Facilities at Liquid Skillz

• Free parking for all visitors.

• Main clubhouse with changing rooms, lockers, and shower facilities (note: these may close before the end of open water swim sessions—please do not leave belongings in lockers overnight).

• Delicious snacks, hot food, and drinks available in the clubhouse.

• Changing pods at the Active Waters open water swimming area with secure storage for your kit.

NOWCA Safety and Membership

Liquid Skillz Active Waters Wild Swimming is affiliated with NOWCA, using their proven safety system to ensure a safe swimming environment for all members. Every swimmer receives a NOWCA safety wristband, providing access to a network of affiliated wild swimming venues across the UK.

To swim at Liquid Skillz, you must become a NOWCA member. Visit www.nowca.org, select Lake Ashmore, click ‘Become a Member’, and follow the instructions. Membership is £15 per year, and individual swim sessions are £7.50. You can also arrange a trial swim to experience the facilities before committing—simply contact activewaterswildswimming@gmail.com.

All swimmers must wear their NOWCA safety wristband during public sessions. The wristband tracks your swim distance and time, speeds up water entry, and ensures your safety. After each swim, your stats are emailed directly to you.

Opening Times and Swim Sessions 

• Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

• Saturdays: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm

• Sundays: 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
