Serpentine Lido

The Serpentine Lido — London’s Iconic Open Water Swimming Spot

The Serpentine Lido is one of London’s most iconic and historic open water swimming locations, set in the heart of Hyde Park. It’s a favourite spot for wild swimmers and visitors looking to experience a refreshing dip surrounded by nature.

A London Classic

Next to the lido, the Lido Café Bar offers waterside seating — perfect for relaxing after your swim with a snack, meal, or a glass of wine while enjoying views across the Serpentine.

The Serpentine Swimming Club

The Serpentine Swimming Club is the oldest swimming club in Britain. Members swim in the lido area every day from 5:30 am to 9:30 am, and famously take part in the annual Christmas Day race, a long-standing London tradition.
