Stoney Cove proudly welcomes open water swimmers to our renowned spring-fed lake — one of Leicestershire’s cleanest and most iconic open water venues. Spanning 13 acres, our lake offers a 1,000-metre perimeter swimming course with exceptionally clear, fresh water free from fleas and mites.

Please note: Stoney Cove is a deep, cold-water lake, suitable for experienced swimmers only. It is not designed for paddling or recreational play swimming.

Our onshore facilities are second to none, featuring hard-surfaced car parks, heated showers, changing rooms, and the all-important bar and restaurant — perfect for relaxing after your swim or dive.

With qualified first aiders and a rescue boat on standby at all times, Stoney Cove provides a safe, professional, and enjoyable open water swimming experience in the heart of Leicestershire.
